Posts wait as Awaiting approval
When a member schedules a post, it's held until someone approves it. It keeps its date and time, and nothing publishes before it's approved.
Approval workflow
Turn on approvals and every post a team member schedules waits for sign-off from an owner, an admin or the client. Approvers get an email, authors hear back, and every post keeps its full history.
When a member schedules a post, it's held until someone approves it. It keeps its date and time, and nothing publishes before it's approved.
Everything waiting is in one list. Pick a group in the sidebar to see only its posts.
Owners and admins get an email when a post is submitted. The author gets one when it's approved or when changes are requested.
Ask for changes and say what to fix. The post goes back to the author's drafts with your note, ready to edit and send again.
Each group can have a private review link, so a client or anyone outside the team can approve its posts or ask for changes, without an account. It also shows what's coming up.
Every post shows who submitted it, who approved it or asked for changes, when, and what they said, including approvals from review links.
See it work
A member submits a post, approvers get an email, and the post waits on the Needs approval page. Approve it and it's scheduled; ask for changes and it goes back to the author with your note.
Step 1 of 5: With approvals on, a member's Schedule button becomes Submit for approval. The post keeps its date and time.
Approvals and review links come with Pro and Agency.
Client sign-off
Create the review link for a client's group and send it over. They see the posts for their accounts that are waiting, approve them or ask for changes, and can see what's already scheduled. There's nothing to install and no login.
History
Each post keeps a record of every submission, approval and change request, with the notes. When a client approves from their link, the history shows their name and the group.
How it works
An owner or admin switches on approvals in the team settings. Owners' and admins' own posts are still scheduled directly.
It's saved as Awaiting approval with its date and time, and owners and admins get an email.
An owner or admin opens it from the email or the Needs approval page, or the client opens their review link.
Approved posts publish at their scheduled time, or right away if that time has passed. Change requests go back to the author's drafts with the note.

FAQ
Turn on approvals in the team settings, then invite the people who write posts as members. Their scheduled posts will wait for approval. If clients should sign off too, put their accounts in a group and create its review link.
When approvals are on, posts that members schedule wait as Awaiting approval. Posts that owners and admins schedule go straight onto the schedule, so give the people who write posts the member role if every post should be checked.
Owners and admins can approve any post. Anyone with a group's review link, such as your client, can approve posts for that group's accounts.
No. Put your client's accounts in a group and create the group's review link: a private page that opens in any browser. It shows the posts for that group's accounts that are waiting for approval, plus what's already scheduled, and your client can approve each post or ask for changes with a note. You can replace or turn off the link at any time.
They write a note saying what to fix, the post goes back to the author's drafts, and the author gets an email with the note. When the author schedules it again, it goes back for approval.
It's published right away. Otherwise approved posts go out at the date and time they were scheduled for.
Not at the moment. A post needs one approval, from an owner, an admin or the client, and then it's scheduled.
Approvals are for checking teammates' posts, so they're most useful on Pro and Agency, which include unlimited team members. Pro is $50 a month and Agency is $100.
